Forgotten Baseballs Display Circa 2005
Totally forgot about this baseball display project we did in 2005 for a client who needed eight of these units to give baseball gifts to his clients. Solid cherry all around except for the “home plate” at the top which is ash. Look at those tight miters and tiny ‘basaball’ bats! The interior fuzzy black stuff is called “flocking“. The undercoating to which the polyester fibers stick is still a bit wet in these photos. Have always wanted to use flocking for other weird stuff, but the gravity of the current subject matters doesn’t really call for silliness.
