A really great thing happened for Memento earlier this year. Our Big Lebowski urn project was featured on Dangerous Minds.
The exposure was pretty out of this world and two of the urns were auctioned off. Another was purchased privately. A total of $140 was donated to PreventCancer.org.
With the starting bid at $80 being $100 less than the $180 “modestly priced receptacle” from the movie, these were never intended as anything other than a fun way to raise some money for cancer prevention. Finding these rare Folgers cans and even rarer Maxwell House blue lids takes a significant amount of time and there are fewer and fewer around. This seller is asking $199.99!!!
