Hatchfund Shaping Blank Gifted UrnsFundraising is awkward for me.  From the earliest conscriptions in gradeschool to sell magazines or candy, it has never felt natural.  I am still not great at it, to be honest, and had no idea if making our goal was even possible.

The only reason we made our Hatchfund project minimum goal to be able to provide 10 gifted urns is because of the network of incredibly generous friends and family.  Thank you to all of you, and a huge thanks to Fusion Filmworks for shooting and producing the video.

Takeaway from the fundraising experience is that people are busy and overloaded and the only way to overcome it is to get specific and ask individuals directly for donations.  They may have already been considering donating but just got sideswiped.  Feels a bit weird at first but it overcomes the bystander effect.

Please help us hit the Stretch goal to be able to provide 15 gifted urns to parents who have lost infants.

I am asking you to please consider singling out one person from your network who might be able/likely to donate and asking them directly through email, phone call, or messaging via social media to make a donation.  I have a handful of contacts that I am going to make today.  There are only 2 days left until the fundraising period ends!

Thank you again!
