The first version of this custom memorial required a whole bunch of complicated machining that blew apart the budget. Revisited the whole concept and made it simpler. This version involves way more wood. The blue wing feathers are just to indicate the range of motion of the hinge. The hinge itself is a brass tube that has a section removed from the length that allows it to trap and clamp the wing. The tube will be trapped in aluminum channel. Hoping the client prefers the taller version!
