Turtle Octopus Ring Box

This turtle octopus ring box commission was based on a netsuke that they found on the website https://ancientpoint.com

When the shell is pulled from the turtle, the receptacle for the engagement ring is revealed. The fit is made a hair loose in winter so that it doesn’t lock up in summer (cherry moves quite a bit with humidity). Regardless, there is a push of air when closed and suction is created when pulling apart.
