West Creek Conservancy Award 2025
Most awards aren’t works of art. Budget and timing are often why. While this donated object is not normally within reach of most organizations, let alone non-profits, Aril can work with you to produce awards and trophies that recipients are more likely to display or use, and that their families might keep for generations.
Six weeks of runway for design and production are helpful, but not always required. Get in touch to keep the award you’re considering giving from ending up in a cardboard box or landfill. People appreciate well-made objects that have value as art or practical use. Aril does both.
West Creek Conservancy is a Cleveland-area nonprofit that needed an award for its 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Aril produced a maquette for approval and moved to production to meet their deadline. Despite the rapid production, the finished piece is a good match for the maquette. The recipient’s favorite tree is White Pine. The shape is modeled after the petal of a White Pinecone. Cherry wood is a better alternative than White Pine for this project because it will darken naturally with time and UV exposure to closer resemble the hue of a pinecone. White Pine would have required dyes and stains, and doesn’t carve as nicely as Cherry. While Aril is not averse to using those materials, this was a solution that relied solely on organic materials.
