Sizing?
Cremation urns are sized by volume. Soft tissue is depleted during cremation/Aquamation®. The generally accepted ratio of 1 pound (.45 kg) of living lean mass results in:
- 1 cubic inches (16.39 cm) of cremated remains
- 1.3 cubic inches (21.3 cm) of Aquamated remains
Each Aril product page states the cubic inch volume but general sizing is as follows:
- XS (keepsake): under 20 cubic inches (328 cm)
- S: 21 - 80 cubic inches (344 - 1311 cm)
- M: 81 - 180 cubic inches (1327 - 2950 cm)
- L (full size): 200 - 220 cubic inches (3277 - 3605 cm)
- XL: 220+ cubic inches (3622+ cm)
