“I came home from work and saw the box on my front porch. I opened it on my porch because I just couldn’t wait. My neighbors loved watching me unwind all the paper!
The pads are beautiful – the pictures don’t do them justice. Luigi’s was the last one I opened and by then, my neighbor was on the porch sobbing with me. Thank you for capturing my pack!”
HOW IT WORKS
- After purchase, we provide easy instructions to electronically provide Aril a photo of your pet’s paw imprint or inkprint and your pet’s name
- Aril carefully crafts a to-scale, wood recreation of your pet’s pads with your pet’s name
- You will receive your Pads of Wood within a few weeks from the date of purchase
DON’T HAVE IMPRINTS OR INKPRINTS?
No problem!
After you place your order, you will be directed to a page where you provide information about your pet.
We then recreate your pet’s pads from that data and will send you an electronic view of them before we produce them for your approval.
PADS of WOOD FAQ
Gift?
Pads of Wood make a great gift for someone who loves their pet – whether the pet is still with us not. Simply order a Pads of Wood Gift Card here.
Size?
Once we receive your order and you have uploaded your pet’s pads image, we will fit the pads to an appropriate sized display. Generally, you can expect the following:
- 3″ x 3″ (7.62 cm) – cats and very small dogs, usually under 20 lbs
- 4″ x 4″ (10.16 cm) – some cats and small dogs
- 6″ x 6″ (15.24 cm) – medium to large-sized dogs
- 7″ x 7″ (17.78 cm) – very large dogs
Have a size preference? This is custom work after all. We can likely accommodate that but it may require scaling the pads to fit. Contact us for questions.
When?
Production generally takes up to two weeks. If there is a backlog that will extend that timeframe, we always get in touch to make sure you are okay with that. Expedited shipping is available in checkout. Have a deadline? Let us know in the order notes or get in touch here.
Maintenance?
None. The non-toxic finishes we use are permanent and should require no effort. Dusting with a soft cloth is safe. Any other oils, rubs, water, finishes, or any chemical will damage or change the appearance and void support. Buffing with a soft cloth can bring up the shine. UV (ultraviolet light/sunlight) exposure will darken wood over time.
Safety?
Natural, non-toxic finishes are used in all components. The wood itself is safe to touch. All wood used is non-toxic to consume, except for Black Walnut – especially if you are a horse.

Willow was my first dog. Not my first dog friend, but the first puppy person in my house and life. I picked up her sleepy, chubby belly self from adoption and I stayed with her while she she was euthanized fourteen years later. That’s her chest fur in the photo. I’d so love to see her alive again.
If you’ve found yourself here, it’s because you also love your pet. I am one of the business owners and the designer/craftsman behind Pads of Wood. I created Pads of Wood to be a positive interaction and reminder of that connection to your pet.
If you become a patron, I hope you will share your own pet’s photo and Pads of Wood with #PadsOfWood as the hashtag or send them to us directly. I love seeing who my work is for.
